I am working on a book on E. D. Hirsch, who made some controversial contributions to Blake studies in the 1960s. I am a scholar of English literature but not an expert on Blake. I would like to have an opportunity to speak with a couple of Blake scholars who are familiar with Hirsch’s work on Blake and its reception. From my point of view, the best persons would be older scholars who can remember the initial discussions of Hirsch’s work, but I would also be interested in speaking with newer Blake scholars who have read Hirsch’s scholarship and can comment on it and help me understand its reception history.
